“You cannot change the wind, but you can adjust the sails.” – Elizabeth Edwards
Yes, we are sailing through the roiling sea of uncertainty, however, we are the captain of our ship. We are all in the same storm together. Covid-19 united our society in a unique storm of challenges rather quickly across the world.
We are all in a different boat and maybe even a different sea, but we are all trying the best we can to adapt the way we live to navigate this storm the best way possible.
Some of us have anchored ourselves in our homes and have taken refuge in self-care practices in the stress of it all. As our nation proceeds through these choppy waters, we will continue to adjust our sails by: changing our communication from in person to virtual connections, utilizing pickup services or delivery services, and working from home while also “attempting” to be our children’s teachers all under one roof for many of us.
“It is the set of the sails, not the direction of the wind that determines the way which we will go.” Jim Rohn
Where there are challenges, there are solutions. Though this storm may be affecting us all, we are each maneuvering around the difficulty of the future challenges we could face. We will all continue to find ways to keep moving forward, onward and upward, always striving to better ourselves, our environment and our community.
We will ALL rise with the tide.
