Today we’re getting to know Kristi Thorpe!
Let’s meet Paragon Scheduler and Marketing Specialist, Kristi Thorpe!
Kristi has been a part of the Paragon family for 15 years.
Kristie lives in Oregon with her husband of 25 years, Daryn, their three daughters, Kaylei, Alissa and Sydni and their three dogs, Bella, Remi and Sage. They enjoy camping and love spending time at the beach or in the mountains. They love to hike whenever they can!
Q&A with Kristi:
What is your favorite part of your job?
“Scheduling allows me to be part of a team. It’s a great feeling when my wholesaler meets his goals, and I know I am a part of his success. I enjoy marketing because I love making people feel special – a handwritten note, an acknowledgement or a special gift at just the right time can make all the difference. It’s those extra touches that set my clients above the rest. Being a part of that is very rewarding.”
What have you gained from working at Paragon?
“My confidence has really grown. I have learned not to take it personally when I don’t get the appointment the first time or when someone is rude to me on the phone. “
What is the best advice you’ve been given?
“Choose your words carefully. I have this poem on my desk:
‘A careless word my kindle strife,
a cruel word may wreck a life.
A brutal word may smite and kill,
a gracious word may smooth the way,
a joyous word may light the day.
A timely word may lessen stress,
a loving word may heal and bless.’”
What inspires you?
“My faith inspires me to treat others how I would want to be treated.”
What is your favorite dessert?
“Umpqua Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream – Because…chocolate and peanut butter ☺ and I love the big chunks of peanut butter.”

“I have had this African Violet for 20 years. I got it from a friend for watching her baby girl when she had to go back to work. Every time I see it, it makes me think of her.”
“I prefer taking notes on paper. I always have my notebook handy, and I love to use different pens and colors of ink.”
“I love having my diffuser going while I work. I change up the oils – my favorites are lemongrass, orange, peppermint and rosemary.”
